Terms of the Official London 2012 Auction

Bidding

Bids place in the Official London 2012 Auction are binding and can only be retracted under special circumstances, including:

  • You make a typographical error when placing the bid amount and have contacted us immediately at info@memorabilia.london2012.com to retract your bid
  • You submit a valid bid retraction request not less than 12 hours before the auction closes.
  • New item information was added which changed your understanding of the item for which your bid was placed.
  • You cannot reach the seller via email.

You cannot retract a bid if:

  • You placed bids on a similar item.
  • You have changed your mind.
  • You state that you cannot pay for the item.
  • You submit a bid retraction request less than 12 hours before an auction closes.

To retract a confirmed bid, you must contact info@memorabilia.london2012.com with your request. Please include the item listing number and the reason for the retraction. All bid retraction requests received less than 12 hours before an auction closes will not be processed regardless of the reason. All bid retraction requests received without a valid explanation will not be processed. Bidders who retract their bids may not place new bids on that item. It is up to the discretion of the Official London 2012 Auction whether or not your bid retraction request will be accepted.

Please note that all auctions feature overtime bidding, which means that bidding will continue until the designated end time or until 2 minutes after the last bid, whichever comes later.

Example: If the auction is set to end at 4:00pm and a bid is placed a 3:59pm, the auction is extended for 2 more minutes and will be set to close at 4:01pm. If another bid is placed between 3:59 pm and 4:01pm, the auction will be extended for another 2 minutes after the last bid. This process will continue until there are no bids placed within any of the extended periods of time, the expiration of which shall result in the auction officially closing.

Innovative Sport Limited reserves the right to set and change the starting price, bid increment, end date and other auction parameters for each auction at its sole discretion.
